ASM WA Diagnostic Scientist Travel Award
The ASM WA Diagnostic Scientist Travel Award is presented annually to one professional microbiologist working in a diagnostic laboratory in WA to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting of the ASM and/or CliniCon, or the Tri-State Scientific Meeting (in the years that Tri-State is held).
The award provides a 2,000 AUD allowance to cover conference registration, travel costs and/or accommodation.
Deadline for 2025 applications: March 31st 2025, 5 pm (AWST)

- Eligibility
Applicants must be employed part/full-time in a role as a Diagnostic Scientist (microbiology)
Applicants must be an ASM member (or apply during the application)
Applicants must not have previously received the ASM Diagnostic Scientist Travel Award
Applicants must not have previously received the ASM National Clinical Microbiology Travel Award
- Conditions of Award
Attend the ASM Annual Scientific Meeting and/or CliniCon, in person
Provide a one-page report of your experience at the meeting - the report will be included in the ASM WA Newsletter
- Assessment
The awardee will be selected based on their submitted application (CV and motivation statement)
